Keith Fowler Biography

Keith Fowler has accumulated 40 years experience in media.  

His career spreads across radio, television, press and new media.

He has held virtually every position in a radio station from entry level commercial transfer, to audio producer, announcer, music director, content director to upper level management with group roles, he has written applications for successful FM license bids and sat on the boards of radio companies and peak industry bodies.


His core competencies are built around “start ups” and business turnarounds. He has developed, honed and enhanced his expertise in Australia, Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, China and most recently Hawaii in the US.


Keith spent 11 years, with Australia’s number one FM radio network Austereo, holding a number of group roles including Group Creative Director, Head of National Sales Promotions and Austereo New Business Development


In 1999 he moved to Malaysia as General Manager Programming overseeing the development of 5 national FM networks into 7 national networks.

AMP Radio Networks (now Astro Radio) has from 2000 until present day operated the number 1 most listened to Malay, Chinese, Indian and English FM radio networks in Malaysia.


In 2004 Keith was seconded to India to be involved in the expansion of FM radio in that country after the granting of 200 + new FM licences

He was involved in the start up of two radio brands Power FM and Aamar FM in Kolkata and then in 2005 became involved with RED FM network which he helped take from number 4 overall to the number 1 network in India


In 2009 Keith was sent to China with Adrep China Advertising Services Ltd as General Manager Radio Operations.

During this period Keith guided all aspects of Content and Programming for the MY FM Product and Marketing and Promotion for the MY FM Brand. He had input into Sales and generally was across all aspects of the start up of 8 MY FM branded stations in 8 cities in 8 provinces

During his tenure the company grew from 5 staff with a HQ in Beijing to 200+ and revenues in the order of $USD10 million     


In 2013 Keith took up the role of Resonate Regional Manager primarily overseeing the start up of Resonate Hawaii LLC and their two brands The Wave@92FM and 102.7 The Beach. For the past two years The Wave has consistently been the most listened to station on the Big Island All People aged 12 - 64.
